Server settings not saved after adding a media folder

I have this issue for some time now that I want to add a folder to the server in the media folder section and it is not saved. Also, normally after changing something in settings and then leaving the page it asks if the changes should be saved. This dialog does not come up. So, somehow the server does not see the changes I make via the WEB GUI. I guess. Weird thing is that the file has the date set to my last saving time. So, saving works, but the value does not reach the file.
