Okey, so my 8 year old Boom is still with me. It has gone through WiFi from vendors like Check Point, Huawei, Cisco Meraki and now Fortinet. Later two with roaming.
Its getting tougher and tougher to let Classic/Boom like WiFi. They often just disconnect or hang.
So I just want to share what you have to do to get them running in a modern roaming Fortinet WiFi:
1. ARP suppression must be disabled for broadcast.
2. 802.11b/g channels must be static. b must be enabled.
3. Radio power must be static.
4. 802.11r must be disabled.
5. Load balancing clients must be disabled.
6. Client handover must be disabled.
Ive had it running without issues for 4 months now.
Hopefully this will help somebody...
