Replacing a Logitech Squeezebox Radio with a Google Home

We currently have a Logitech Squeezebox Radio in our kitchen. It is still working somewhat alright but is quickly becoming obsolete. It is primarily used for Spotify. The sound quality is pretty decent IMO (good enough for the kitchen). Has anyone gone from a Squeezebox Radio to a Google Home? Or, is anyone using one in their kitchen primarily for Spotify? Is it good for this purpose?
