Hello,
i'm using LMS for years and i am very happy with it (except sometimes the spotty plugin does not work good).
I have installed LMS on an LXC Container on my proxmox server. The base linux is debian and at the moment there is LMS 7.9.3 installed.
Since i have problems with spotty and saw that there is a whole new version (8.1.1) out i would like to migrate to this new version.
My questions are:
- Can i update from 7.9.3 to 8.1.1? What are the required steps?
- Is it better to set up a new Container and start new?
- Is it better to choose LMS on debian or install picoreplayer and use that for LMS?
I could not find any guide on the internet for installation recommendations on VMs/Containers. Everyone seems to use a PI for LMS. But since i have a hypervisor at home i want to use that instead of buying a pi.
I hope you can answer my questions.
Regards
