play now, API action play not working like before

I discovered a weird behaviour with LMS recently. When a player is in status paused and I click via GUI play now, or HTTP API action play on a title/playlist, the items are added to the playlist of the selected player, but it won't start playing. I have to hit the Button play additionaly to start playing. This only happens in context of the plugin Favorite, or Spotty. Out of the local library, no problem to play immediately.

So behaviour is like clicking the add button. Is it just me?
