Stream PC audio via LMS

Hi all,

I am running LMS on Synology NAS and can stream internet radio to 2 piCorePlayers successfully. This works perfectly since more than a year and I really love it.

Now I also want to stream the whole audio of my windows notebook to those piCorePlayers. This would lead to hearing music or the audio of ms team meetings etc. on my multi room system.

In order to get this working I installed and configured OBS (https://obsproject.com) on my windows notebook. OBS is sending an mp3 audio stream containing the whole audio of the notebook to a udp multicast address in my local network. I can listen to this via vlc on another machine in the local network. What I could not figure out till now is how to add this udp stream in LMS as a (radio) source. LMS seems to only allow http urls to be added as radio stations. Is it possible to configure udp audio streams as audio sources in LMS?

Another option may could be to create an HLS stream via OBS and use the LMS "PlayHLS" plugin.

Has anybody experience with a usecase like this? Is there a simpler way for playing pc audio via LMS?
