New To Podcasts - Some help/insights?

Hi, All these years I have enjoyed my stable of SB's exclusively for music, both my library and internet radio. The only "talk" I have listened to are my local internet stations. I don't subscribe to any services, etc.

So, I have decided I need to explore podcasts, something I have been meaning to do...for years (where does the time go?)

I can use some help, insights, tricks, as what I have discovered to date is kind of clunky, so I am wondering if I am missing something.

So, what I have figured out to date is this:
1) I have the plugin installed, and see where I can enter podcast RSS URL's manually (LMS setting-podcast tab), and they show up in home-myapps-podcasts. I also see how I can do this via mysb.com and import into LMS.
2) I also can go to Home-radio-podcasts and "explore", and when I to something I am interested in, play it, but I have no idea if there a way to save it to apps-podcasts.
3) I can go out to the web, look around, find a podcast that seems interesting, maybe listen to it a bit on the computer, then copy the RSS and add it to LMS settings-podcast tab.

I really have two questions - is there an easier way to explore, try out, and save podcasts other than what I describe above? The other question is less about SB's and more about discovering podcasts. Is there a way, or service, or website which facilitates finding podcasts of interest? For example, I like "How I built this" on US NPR, and I know how to find this. But, let's say that in general I am interested in History, Music, Technology, etc. Is there a way to easily explore what is available?

As an example, in the past for internet radio, I have gone through the built in radio menu item, tunein, etc. tried stations, saved them if I liked them. Also, I have gone out to the web and done a search for "best xxxxx radio stations", read a few articles, tried the stations out, added them to favorites if I liked them.

Thanks for any thoughts.
Jim
